Prescott Quickie--James Arthur Ray

Hi from the courthouse steps in historic downtown Prescott!
The James Arthur Ray trial has moved from Camp Verde to this building, which is the most famous spot in town. Contrast to Camp Verde's wilderness courthouse. All different, including the space for the lawyers!

Camille, thank you so much for taking the trouble to keep us concerned-but-not-at-the-trial people informed via Twitter. You could easily be sitting there taking your own notes without bothering . . . and I'm so grateful.

I was an outdoor guide on skis and in whitewater rafts for many years, and encouraged people to grow and push their limits, but ALWAYS with safety first. And we all had advanced first aid training and were very cognizant of potential health and safety problems and the importance of having a wide margin of safety. Therefore I'm appalled at JAR's criminally negligent conduct in conducting his workshops with escalating numbers and severity of injuries. And it also galls me the way he's spent lots on an entire team of fancy lawyers, and how little (if any) on settling up with victims and refunds for people who paid in advance. (probably at the advice of lawyers who think settling up is admitting responsibility, and they dont want that.)

Anyway, I'm hoping he gets maximum jail time as I see neither remorse nor indications that he's learned something and will act differently. I think he's dangerous to people who trust him to take care of them.

Thanks again for keeping us posted.

    Best wishes,
    Liz
